Privacy is a fundamental human right. We will uphold the privacy of our users by fighting against ads, trackers and other impingements on privacy. We will never profit by monetizing your data but instead seek to fulfil our company mission by delivering a great service.

Our commitment to privacy and data protection is reflected in this Privacy Statement which describes how we collect and process “personal information” that identifies you, like your name or email address. Any other information besides this is "non-personal information." If we store personal information with non-personal information, we’ll consider that combination to be personal information. Only if we remove all personal information from a set of data would we consider the remainder non-personal information.

Limonero Vacation strives to continually improve our service for our users. To that end, we learn information about you when:

You directly provide it to us (including phone number, contacts list, video, audio, photos and other data sent to Limonero Vacation);
We collect it automatically through our services;

When we try and understand more about you based on information you've given to us.

Personalised recommendations – We can use user information such as past search history, preferences, and previous bookings to provide personalised recommendations for holiday rentals that match the user's interests and requirements.
Booking management – We can use user information to manage bookings, including sending booking confirmations, reminders, and updates about the rental property.
Communication with hosts – We can use user information to facilitate communication between guests and hosts, including sharing contact details, sending messages, and coordinating check-in and check-out arrangements.
Payment processing – We can use user information to process payments for holiday rentals, including collecting and storing payment details securely and providing invoices or receipts to guests.
Reviews and feedback – We can use user information to collect reviews and feedback about the holiday rental experience, helping future guests make informed decisions and improving the overall quality of the listings on the website.

Information Sharing

We share information about you:

When we’ve asked & received your consent to share it;
As needed to process or provide services or products to you, but only if those entities agree to provide at least the same level of privacy protection we’re committed to under this Privacy Statement;
To comply with laws and legislations, including ‘Real Decreto 933/2021 ’, or to respond to lawful requests and legal process, provided that we’ll notify you unless we’re legally prohibited from doing so. We’ll only release personal information if we believe in good faith that it’s legally required;
Only if we reasonably believe it’s necessary to prevent harm to the rights, property or safety of you or others; or
In the event of a corporate restructuring or change in our organisational structure or status to a successor or affiliate.

Information Protection

All personal data will be processed to fulfil legal obligations in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament. The necessary physical, business and technical security measures are taken to avoid its alteration, loss, unauthorised treatment or access. In the event of a security breach, we'll notify you so that you can take appropriate protective steps. We only keep your personal data for as long as is needed to do what we collected it for. After that, we destroy it unless required by law.

Electronic Registration Travellers

To comply with the Spanish legislation ‘Real Decreto 933/2021 ’, all travellers are required to complete an electronic registration form through a platform called ‘Chekin ’ in which we may ask to upload an image of their government-approved identity card.

All personal data collected will be processed and stored in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament. For adults travelling with children under the age of 16, we must obtain explicit consent for the processing of their personal data. The necessary physical, business and technical security measures are taken to avoid its alteration, loss, unauthorised treatment or access. We have to keep your personal data for the legal retention period of 3 years. After that, we destroy it unless required by law.

Age Requirement

We don’t want your personal information if you’re under 16. Do not provide it to us. If your child is under 16 and you believe your child has provided us with their personal information without your explicit consent, please contact us to have such information removed.

However, in the case where an adult (above 18 years old) books a rental property and brings one or more children, we are legally required to collect information about the child for local authorities. For adults travelling with children under the age of 16, we must obtain explicit consent for the processing of their personal data. Nonetheless, we want to assure you that we will handle this information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. Other Information

As part of our normal operations, your information may be stored in computers in other countries outside of your home country. By giving us information, you consent to this kind of information transfer. Irrespective of where your information resides, we’ll comply with applicable law and abide by our commitments herein.
